For most people, 1–2 times per week is ideal. If you are new to kese exfoliation, start once per week and increase as your skin adapts. Daily use is not recommended — the kese removes dead skin cells, and the skin needs time to regenerate.

Yes, with some adjustments. Use lighter pressure, ensure a longer soak beforehand (15+ minutes), and begin with the Silk Face Cocoon (face glove) which is woven more finely. If you have active eczema, psoriasis, or open skin, consult your dermatologist first.

The dead cell layer must be hydrated to separate cleanly from the new skin beneath. On dry skin, the cells are bonded too tightly and the glove cannot lift them. The minimum soak is 10 minutes — more is better.

Most kese gloves sold online are made from synthetic viscose or blended fibers. Ours are 100% raw (undyed, unprocessed) silk, woven on traditional handlooms by artisan families in Istanbul. The single-thread weave creates a texture that is effective but not abrasive.

With proper care, 6–12 months of regular use. After each use, rinse thoroughly, wring gently, and hang to dry fully. Do not leave damp in an enclosed space.
